Synopsis: the process that led to the approval of the new Constitution in Ecuador, throughout the holding of the constituent assembly of Montecristi, in 2008. We follow the president of the assembly as well as other elected representatives, but also groups of citizens who came to make their demands heard, convinced that they should be included in the constitution. We attend the debate a posteriori; today some actors of the moment have not only changed physically, they have also changed political camp. The Devil's Nose is known to be the stretch where the construction of the railway inaugurated more than 100 years ago was the most complicated. The constitution of Montecristi is  the most important step of the democracy in Ecuador.
